MSExchangeSA Event ID 9099 error RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have installed windows 2003 Sp2 AD controller and exchange server 2003sp2 on the same HP ML350, we use this system 5 years.

Two weeks ago after rebooting this server the  we get this error with the following data:
    Source: MSExchangeSA
    Category: Monitoring
    Event ID: 9099
The MAD Monitoring thread was unable to read the state of the services, error '0x80041003'.

The error is repeated every 5 min.in applications log.

    I found http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326011

but this article wrote solution only about exchange 2000 and nothing about Exchange 2003?!

Please advise if anyone knows of a solution. Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Attila,

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326011

This is also applicable for Exchange 2003 SP2

Plus, please identify that this event may be due to backup device was hung on the server.

Add Administrators, SERVICE and 'Network Service' to the "Impersonate a user after authentication" user right in the Local Policy (Secpol.msc) and the Default Domain Controllers policy, then reboot.

    Thanks.
