Outlook Updating Inbox issue.

outlook keep saying updating inbox, no new emails come in. after restart outlook, the new emails will be shown in inbox. online mode is working fine. tried to rebuild profile and re-install the office, still keep showing updating. after waiting for a long time, it will shows as updated, but still no new email come in.

Hi,

How large is the OST file associated with your account?

Do you have the "Mail to keep offline" slider set to "All" under Account Settings? If so, try setting it to a short interval and see whether this issue continues.

Besides, if your Outlook shows "Updating Inbox 3.99 GB", please have a look at the following Microsoft KB article and try the resolution to fix the issue:

Status bar progress never shows more than 3.99 GB remaining on initial Sync of large folders

Hello,

I am having the same exact problem that is being described in this thread. Right now my outlook is stuck updating (Updating Calendar. Updating Inbox. is the exact message). This is on a fresh version of Windows (just installed everything within the month) and I've tried removing the profile and recreating as well as changing the offline data amount from one year to six months. OST file size is 3,355,464 KB.

Version 1803 Build 9126.2295. Office 365 ProPlus.
