    You can use the following macro and run it from a button you add to your Quick Access Toolbar:

    Sub SwitchViews()
    ' Switch from Gantt Chart to Resource Usage with the Task Form applied.
       ViewApplyEx Name:="Resource &Usage", ApplyTo:=0
       FormViewShow
       DetailsPaneToggle
       ViewApplyEx Name:="Task Form", ApplyTo:=1
    End Sub

    That would be the fastest way to do it in only one click.  You can probably figure out how to rewrite the code for another macro to close the dependent pane (Task Form) and then reapply the Gantt Chart view.  Hope this helps.

  • I think there could be 1 work around when you can use both the views in 2 windows as it happens in case of split, wherein 2 Forms open for you. Go to Windows -> New Window -> From View dropdown select -> Resource Usage View. Now again window -> Arrange All. This will open 2 windows horizontally, 1 your Gantt and other Resource Usage. As for the toggle option with key board option let me see if it works and get back to you.

  • You can try using the key tips. Assuming you are using 2010, you would hit Alt+W+U to shift to a Resource Usage View..

    See the post below for more information: http://www.projectserverhelp.com/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=161

    I personally prefer displaying the "View Bar" on the left of my screen..you can do this by right clicking on the far left corner of the screen and selecting 'View Bar'.

  • This is the only key combination details I could find for MS Project 2007 and most of them worked too :)

    but switcing between views is still a hunt.
