auto update of windows 10 SMBv1 to SMB2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have customers that have Network drives connected to their local network.

it appears that if windows 10 does not connect the network drive for 15 days the SMBv1 is uninstalled.

can SMBv2 be installed from the windows 10 updates that are part of the Update & Security for windows 10?

    Thanks

  • SMBv2 is already on the system.

When smb v1 is not used for 15 days in 1803 and 1709 it will uninstall smb v1.
