Adding a column from a related table RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

This is a question I have while working in PowerBI. I have several tables which are all connected to each other through relationships. E.g. Table A->Table B<-Table C - Table D<-Table E (where the arrow end indicates a multiple and a - indicates a 1)

I'm trying to create a column in Table A which would display the relevant value from Table E. I'm aware I can get this to be displayed in report mode, however I want to create other custom columns based on the combination of this column and other columns in Table A.

    Thank you for the help!

  • Hi Lina, is there a particular reason that you prefer to add the column values of table E to table A via the Query Editor vs creating a calculated column in the modeling tab (using RELATED() or RELATEDTABLE() as appropriate)?
