  • in Microsoft Project/Project server 2013/2016. how to not allow to allocate more the 8 h/day/a person? currently, a red color alert for users if overallocated resources. But if they intend to do it, how to solve or there are no way excepted of educate users.

    VBA code may not run in Project server web app.

  • Currently there isn't any option to prevent this.  The only possible option is to event handlers to prevent saving projects use VBA code. Using code to prevent saving would be hard to code because there are to many different scenarios where resources could be over allocated. 

    So you are correct in that the only answer is to educate users. 

    Another option is to use resource engagements to manage resource allocation.

  • Hi Le,

    You can right click on the red man and select "ignore problems for this task" or insert the column "ignore warnings" and set it to yes.
