Problem when transfering calls from lync attendant console 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have a lync 2010 standard server with 20 lync clients and 5 users that use the lync attendant console. (No edge installed)

When a call comes in and a person with the attendant console picks up , she can transfer the calls to someone else using the Arrow And Question mark option. That all works well.

BUT when a user from that office calls to a client and then uses the option (Arrow and Question Mark) , the client gets put on hold which is good , but the person using the lync attendant console gets a message that there was an error putting the client on hold. And she cannot take the call back. The client just keeps hearing the hold music but will never get back to a real phone call again.

I don't see any errors in eventviewer , nor via lync logging tool.

    ?

Now I did a recheck and even using the normal lync client I cannot put calls on hold : call could not be put on hold

  • Hello,

Try unchecking the the Music on Hold Option from the Attendant Console and see if it works.

    Thanks,

  • The problem now occurs in the normal LYNC client as well as on the polycom fixed phones.

The music on hold is greyed out as it is set by default for everyone. How do I undefault it again.

  • hi,

music on hold can be configured through setting client policy.

  • I disabled the music on hold, but I still get the same error.

Is there not a logging component I can do activate to see if there is any problem regarding the music on hold ?

Problem is, this was happening on 1 pc for about 2 weeks and it happened once for the attencant console, but yesterday it started happening for all pc's and all lync clients.
