secure MOSS 2007 Views RRS feed

  • Is it possible to secure MOSS 2007 document library Views..So that for ex:All documents view should be secured...only admin should view all the documents ...but not all the members

  • You're not going to get it with OOB.  Views are by design, visibility features, not security features, exactly the same as audiences.  If content is important enough to have different security needs attached to it, then break it out into a separate list or site and permission as needed.

    SharePoint 2007 has security trimming OOB, so anything that's not relevant to a group of users won't be presented to them.

  • It is not possible to secure views in SharePoint 2007. Had it been a List instead of document libraries, you could have set Item Level permissions but this is not an option when you are working with a document library.

    The best way I can think of is to use custom code to set Item Level permissions.

  • I need OOB functionality.

    more over we can filter by [ME] the document library View .but " All Documents " I want to make it secure.
