New project base calendar doesn't affect old tasks? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a standalone project 2010. I have used "Change Working Time" and created a new calendar.

I have chosen the new calendar, with work time mon-fri, 7-11 and 12-16, as my new Project calendar.

Have made changes in the project options, setting Default start time and Default end time accordingly.

This is a 2010 project so I also changed the settings for non-working times in the Gantt-chart.

Before I used the Standard calendar mon-fri, 8-12 and 13-17.

The tasks that were planned with the old project calendar doesn’t change when choosing the new one.

These tasks still starts at 08:00 and ends at 17:00 and I can’t change their start time to 07:00.

    Why not?

If I add new tasks they start at 07:00 and ends at 16:00.

I realize that the resource calendars could be a solution, but we don’t use the field “Resources” at all, instead we use a standard Text-field for that information.

I can of course replace all old tasks with new ones, but have I missed something?

  • Hi,I think it is a known bug for non-english MS Project. Is it your case?

I thinkk if you assign another calendar to the project, and then assign back the original calendar, it will be ok.

    Hope this helps,
