Lost Print Jobs RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are trying to print from a terminal server over a WAN link.  The program we are using prints multiple print jobs very quickly.  These jobs spool fine on the terminal server print spooler and delete.  However, if we watch the print spooler on the local computer, it only receives usually 5 or 6 out of 15 print jobs.  We think the problem has to do with the terminal server print spooler releasing the jobs without acknowledging that they were received by the local spooler.  Is there any way to force the terminal server print spooler to receive acknowledgement of the packets?  Can anyone think of any other things to try?

  • Hi,

What version of terminal server are you using? Like windows 2003 and windows 2008.

According to the description, this issue happens when printing something from the specific program on the Terminal server, I would check whether you install the proper print driver on the Terminal and client side. Besides, does this issue happen when using print from word or other built-in application?

In case, you can try to install the universal print driver to check whether this issue still persist.

    Thanks.
