Refresh Cached DPM Datastore Selections RRS feed

  • Question

  • Since installing rollup update 5 for DPM 2012 R2 I am having issues with the datastore cache from the selection list. Is there a setting in which DPM can be configured to update the datastore cache based on time interval? The old refresh button seems to be greyed out since installing the rollup.

  • Hi,

The clear cache button was replaced with a refresh button to help optimize console performance - see the below blog.

  • Thanks for the response Mike, is it possible to schedule a refresh for example every few hours? Is it possible to use automation for this, is there a registry entry that can be changed to make this happen in the background?

  • Hi,

Not that I'm aware of and that would defeat the purpose of the optimization.  You just need to refresh the server you intend on changing protection for to get a refreshed list of data sources before proceeding.
