Fill Word Contract fields with Excel data RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello.

I have a contract with some blank fields and I need to fill them with a external excel data that I have.

I saw some workarounds by copying and pasting special, but it's not dynamic as I need.

I need something more automatic and dynamic, that doesn't need manual intervention.

    How can I do it?

    Thanks.

  • You don't say which version of EXCEL / WORD you are using but check this out:-

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/word-help/word-2007-training-courses-HA010215566.aspx?CTT=1

Go to section 6 in the above:-

    6. Use mail merge

  • Hi,

    Another question.

I've some fields on excel that are currency, like: R$8.159,86.

When I merge it into word document with merge cells, it comes like: 8159,862

How can I get EXACLTY the same number that is shown on Excel field?

    Thanks!

  • Frederico - you need to raise another issue for that because it's a different question.
