Network card disabled automatically? RRS feed

  • Hi Folks,

    We are facing the issue in our organisation, the issue is some of the desktop and most of the laptop ( type: IBM thinkpad, model-T410 ) network card was disabled automatically, in that time network LED glows properly but  they couldnt receive or send a mail and couldnt ping or map from other system(working system which is in network) and its act like a standalone. can any one share the idea for avoid this tyoe of issue ? thanks in advance

  • Take a look in the Windows Device Manager to see if the network card is disabled or marked with a symbol indicating a problem: if this is the case, right clic the NIC icon and choose "Propeties" to get more informations about the NIC status.
    Also look into the Windows logs ("System", above all) in the Event viewer to find any record related to hardware problems.
