  • Question

  • My stations are always offline and never allowed to connect to the ineternet or outside network.  Does microsoft offer a CD/DVD of some kind that will allow me to get these patches in a disk format?

  • Are they networked at all?  And are they able to connect to an internal server, which in turn could get updates on their behalf?

If so, I strongly recommend you look into WSUS (Windows Server Update Services).  You can use it to download updates.  You approve updates, and configure your workstations to get their updates from that server rather than the Internet.

You'll find everything you need here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/wsus/default.aspx

Another option would be to just download the updates from the update catalog (http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx) and copy them to CD or DVD to install.  (That's a lot of work, however, and it's not clear WHICH updates actually will apply to your variious workstations.)

    Hope this helps,

    Kevin
