Temporary internet files location RRS feed

  • Question

  • Ive noticed Windows 7 seems to have problems with IE if you move the temporary internet files folder to a seperate drive under a standard user account. If I go to IE options settings box the folder location is blank and 0MB allocated. I can move the location to the new drive which logs me off, when I log back in it all starts working until I restart the PC to which the location is once again blank with 0MBs allocated. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and give me a possible work around, it seems like a bug to me. It all works normally under an admin account but admin accounts shouldnt be used while browsing the tinternet.

  • Hi

According to your description, we could try to reset IE settings to check.

If you are using a work computer or are connected to a domain network. Commonly your 'personal' files are stored on a network drive, not the drive of your computer/laptop.

Contact your system administrators or company help desk.

Hope it will be helpful to you
