Filtering a date column based on date in another column RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

I need to filter a date column based on date in another column. Column A should only show dates before the date specified in Column B.

Any someone advise if this is possible from Powerquery.

    Thank you.

  • Let me rephrase: you need to filter rows where date in Column A is < date in Column B.

This cannot be achieved solely from the UI. Start by filtering ColumnA and select "Date/Time Filters" -> "Before" and pick a dummy fixed value in drop down box. Then modify the filter statement that has been generated and replace the #datetime( ) statement by a column reference. You should get something close to:

    = Table.SelectRows(#"Changed Type", each [date A] < [date B])
