How do i clean up all SCOM related files on linux machine RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to clean all SCOM related files including all config and certificates, so that the next time i install via discovery wizard i don't face any issue regarding old configuration in SCOM.
We have Red-Hat 7.6 (Maipo) as client machine and we are using SCOM-2016 to push agent.

  • Hi,

You need to get rid of the agent files and also the certificate. After doing this there should be no more leftovers and you coukd do the discovery again without fearing that something might fail.

    from:

Administering and configuring the UNIX - Linux agent

Open Management Infrastructure (OMI) is installed to the directory: /opt/omi
The UNIX/Linux agent installs to the directory: /opt/microsoft/scx/
The UNIX/Linux agent maintains log files in the directory: /var/opt/microsoft/scx/log/
OMI maintains log files in the directory: /var/opt/omi/log/
Agent configuration files, including certificates, are stored in the directory: /etc/opt/microsoft/scx/
OMI configuration files are stored in the directory: /etc/opt/omi

This should help you out. Regards,
