Disable undo disk VM RRS feed

  • Hi, I have a VM with 2 disks, one to SO another for DATA,

    by accident i Disable undo disk on DATA disk and when I try to reconect this disk to new VM but is unallocated :(

    after do a copy of data.vhd I have tryed with several tools  to recover the information but  i cant get nothing!

    GetDataBack, Patition Master, VHD Tools, WinImage, O&O Disk Image, Active Partition Recovery, and others...

  • The undo disk is a separate file from the VHD.  If you disabled Undo drives without committing the changes, there's nothing to you can do on the VHD to recover any data since it was never written there.

    You may be able to recover the undo file, copy it to a different folder, then re-enable Undo disks, and then copy the old Undo disk over the new blank one and get your data back.  I don't know if this will work, since I've never actually tried this.
