Uploading Multiple Document Errors (SP 2003) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We use Sharepoint 2003 in our company.

But I encountered error when upload multiple files to a document library. It says "server target unsafe".

But it works for uploading one file only.

I check the files size, but the total size I was trying to upload is small, less than 1 M.

Any setting that I should change?

  • See if any of the file name contains special characters like '&'

check if ActiveX control display is enabled

Did you try to copy multiple files in Explorer view, is it working fine?

  • For what it's worth I found a workaround for this issue. Seems the Active X control uses stsupld.dll in the Office directory however post 2007 Office stsupld.dll has a different behaviour to the previous versions. By installing SharePoint Designer 2007 on my PC it adds the Office12 version and restores the functionality of multiple file uploads.
