Project Server 2010 - Licensing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are in process of migrating Project Server 2010 from one environment to another. Can the same PS licenses be used for migration?

The existing Project Server will be uninstalled once the migration is completed to new environment.

    Please let us know. Thanks.

  • Hello,

You are best to check with you Microsoft licensing specialist but providing the original farm is decommissioned and the new farm has the same number of servers as the original farm (or less) then you should be covered.

  • Yes, as Paul recommended contacting MS Sales Rep would be safer.

As per my understanding you have to pay for your consumed Production licenses once a year on your contract anniversary date. For development environment there is no licenses fees.
