Software to manage privileged access RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a Microsoft software that manages access by privileged users?  That syncs with Active Directory?

    • User goes to website
    • Inputs ticketnumber/reason why he needs privileged (sysadmin) account
    • Software emails him password of privileged account
    • Users goes back to website and checks in account -- software changes password in active directory

  • I don’t believe MS has a product or built-in options to support this.  You may be able to find third party products or custom solutions.  Or it should be part of help desk software J

  • There is no inbuilt option for the above mentioned query you may have to use third part application to achieve the same.

  • As far as i'm aware of there is no such product, you need to hire someone/vendor to do it for you.

  • Most of the help desk management software has this functionality.  It might be called something else.  You can request for a temporary privileged account.  You can contact any help desk software vendor to get more information.
