Script to Remove "Authenticated Users" Permissions on C Drive RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to create a short simple script to remove the "Authenticated Users" "Create Folders" permission from the C Drive..... you can see this under the advance security options from the Local Disk C properties.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

  • I tried the above but that denyed admin users from creating folders. I ended up using the following to remove the Authenticated users group which stops standard users creating folders but still allows admins to do so.

    icacls C:\ /remove:g *S-1-5-11
