Network application and mapping problem with SMS 2003 RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    Situation:

We deploy an image on computer, bring it into the domain with sysprep. Push different softwares with sms 2003.

SOme are Local installation and others are network installation.

    Problem:

Let's say I send 10 packages to the machine. 1 of them needs a network map to drive T:  and is simply a shortcut to a specific program in T drive.

The network map is non-existant when not logged on with a specific user. This makes the Shortcut copied to the desktop, but the shortcut isnt working obviously. The problem is that all the packages that are suppose to be sent after the network application fails to install , until we log into the specific user with the mapping to T.

The only way to correct this is to log into the specific user, wait for the network application to be installed, then reboot the system to have it "redownload" the other packages and finish his job.

    Question:

Is there a way to specify a priority to the packages so the network application is installed last so it doesnt interrupt other packages. Or is there something we are missing.

Ideally I would like to be able to push everything without logging into the computer.
