Unable to Access Website RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good morning!

    Am sorry to disturb you but am very desperate because am unable to work.

    I installed Windows 10 Home on my laptop, and as such am required to apply online and install a Certificate on my laptop in order to access services.

    Am required to log on to https://vmtke.ca.vodafone.om/certsrv using a Username and Password that I have been provided for.

    It has never been an issue with Windows 7 on IE Browser.

    However, if I try accessing the above address, I get the following error message;

    You are not authorized to view this page
    You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
    Please try the following:
    Contact the Web site administrator if you believe you should be able to view this directory or page.
    Click the Refresh button to try again with different credentials.
    HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.
    Internet Information Services (IIS)

    Technical Information (for support personnel)
    Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 401.
    Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled Authentication, Access Control, and About Custom Error Messages.

    I have tried following some advices and information on the Community but have not been successful.

    I know it maybe about settings on IIS and so forth but what and how to go about it is foreign to me.

    Kindly, I beg you in God's name to assist me even by remote access to my laptop.

  • The IIS message is server side (so nothing you can do on the client), it is simply saying the user name and password and wrong.

    That site is not loading for me when I test (left it 15 mins or more just trying not even timing out). So appears that site if having issues. Contact the site provider or whoever provides you the access for further assistance.

    @stan

    your web address provided has a typo.

    it should be https://vmtke.ca.vodafone.com/certsrv

    If in actual fact you are using the correct web address, try

    Tools>Internet Options>Security tab, click "Reset all zones to default", then click the Trusted sites icon, 'Sites' button and remove vodaphone from your list of Trusted Sites.
