Placing the Same Page Number on Left and Right Pages in Word 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Placing the same page number on left and right pages in Word 97 was possible, because it had the page-numbering format like {=({page})/2}  or {=({page}+1)/2} (cf. KB 84659 ).

Can I find simmilar features in Word 2010? Otherwise, is there any other solution?

  • Hi

The instructions are the same as KB 84659 except the methods for issuing the commands.

I guess you need to find how to insert fields to insert the formulas used in this article.

On the Insert Tab look for Quick Parts, in the Text group second group from the right end.  When you click that select Field from the drop down menu.  Then you can select the formula field to build your calculation.

You can then add your formula the same way as 97.

    Hope this helps.

  • Use Ctrl+F9 to insert each pair of field delimiters and enter the required text inside them.  Then use Alt+F9 to toggle off the display of the field construction.
