Insert formulas into Pivot Table RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Here I have one problem need your help.

I want to create one column chart in Excel 2010 with external source from Cube. I have Employee_Name on the x-axis, and y-axis will be 0 to Maximum value (Calculated as 'today-Created_Date').

(Note: Employee_Name and Created_Date are from Cube data field.)

To create the chart, first of all I want to create a Pivot Table, can you tell me how can I calculate ('today-Created_Date') in the Pivot Table? Thanks!

    Regards.

  • Hi

Unfortunately, although you can create formulae in a PivotTable it is not possible to use either Now()  or Today() in one.  The use of functions whose results are volatile are not supported in PivotTable formulae.
