Hi

I am having following queries related to System Center 2012 Configuration Manager --

1. Active Directory environment necessary for implementation of configuration manager ?

2. What minimum network bandwith required ? ( We are having 4Mbps VSAT connectivity distributed on 450 systems)

3. Can I get the information of Printer connected to desktop by parallel port ?

2. There is no minimum. The more bandwidth that you have, the faster things happen, the less that you have, the slower they happen.

3. Yes, ConfigMgr collects info from WMI which contains a class for locally connected printers, Win32_Printer I think.

Any guideline/recomendation from microsoft for bandwith so that Site server perform discovery of asset and gather the data afterwards.

We are having network bandwidth of around 4-8 kbps only during load.

I can't find any MS recommendation from on bandwidth (it really depends on your environment and the features you're planning to use etc..). However, you can go through the following blog post which will help you to understand how much data is transferred between client and the site server etc...

I think, there is a typo, you mean to Say 4-8 Mbps NOT Kbps !!

The link from Anoop above is a good one.

Also, your remote location is ideal for a secondary site so that you can throttle and schedule ConfigMgr client traffic or keep it local.
