FIM 2010 vs 3rd party apps RRS feed

  • Question

  • hello

i was at first glad that MS has the web-based password reset for users, but after looking at the install what did i get myself into?

would the 3rd party software (net&$^#) and others be less secure? they seem alot quicker and less to configure?

Never dealing with ILM 2007 either and reading the forum this install seems overwhelming for just password and notification.

    thank you

  • has anyone used a third party to just reset passwords? i was concerned about the security and allowing external resets.

    thank you

Do you need the full installation of SCCM for FIM to be installed?

  • FIM does way more than just reset passwords.  If you're just using it to reset passwords, FIM may be overkill.
