  • Hi,

To locate the rule, you can use MFCMAPI Edit tool, locate the Inbox, right click it and select Open Associated Contents Table, the Rule will be represented in there.

1, Download MFCMAPI using the following link:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=55fdffd7-1878-4637-9808-1e21abb3ae37&DisplayLang=en

2, Launch MFCMAPI tool on the user’s client.

3, Go to Session -> Logon and Display Store Table

4, Select the outlook profile of the user and double-click “Mailbox - your user name”

    5, Expand "Root Container"
6, Expand "Top of Information Store"

Note: if the user has configured the outlook profile to use cached mode, we need to expand “IPM_subtree” under root container

7, Select on "Inbox" and right click it, select Open Associated Contents Table, find the Message Class "IPM.Rule.Message". That is the rule which you can identify based on the 0x65EC001E.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Are you talking about transport rule or outlook rule, Transport rule can get using cmdlet "Get-TransportRule".

Outlook rule can be see in outlook itself, See property for more details in Tools menu, click Rules and Alerts.

  • Hi,

I'm talking about Outlook 2007 rule which we can create at ->Tools menu ->Rules and Alerts.

I understand that this Settings or configuration or information will be stored at Exchange Server 2007.

Where to find in server ?

When the Rule was created , date & time ..etc ...

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

The actual rules themselves are stored in the information workers mailbox as a set of hidden messages in the folder the rule applies to. These rules are retrieved from the user’s mailbox, then evaluated and executed by the Store process running on the user’s mailbox server.

    Thanks
