Hello Team,
Could you please guide me :
If we do need a custom certificate, can we buy one that includes all the SAN’s required for both SFB and Lync (Lync Server 2013), thus saving us the cost of separate certs? Advance Thanks.
Thanks

Hi Soumen,
Did you use the public certificate for SFB FE servers and Lync servers?
If so ,you do not need use the public certificate for these internal users ,please use the private certificate from the private CA,it is free.
If you have an environment with Lync 2013 server and SFB server, use the public certificate for you edge server, you just certificate SAN include the following FQDN
Certificate SAN: access.<sip-domain>, sip.<sip-domain>, conf.<sip-domain> ,you do not buy a certificate that includes all the SANs

Hi Soumen,
I'm assuming you're talking about the certificate assigned to the External Edge?
You need to purchase a UC SAN certificate that includes all of the relevant names. Note you cannot use a wildcard on the External Edge, it must be a SAN cert.
Hope this helps.
