    Windows Vista home premium - HP Pavilion dv6910us

    More than a year ago I used a DVD program, MagicISO. Very recently my DVD became unaccessable with the driver in Device Manager showing as:

    MagicISO Virtual DVD-ROM0000

    I uninstalled MagicISO.

    I deleted the driver, rebooted and its back.

    I tried the manual deletion in the registry, rebooted and its back.

    I searched for an update through Microsoft's Windows Update and it says my driver is current.

    In Windows Explorer I get

    G:\ The directory name is invalid.

    How do I determine the DVD manufacturer?

    Any other suggestions are welcomed before I resort to a full system restore! TIA
