Exchange Distribution Group Settings

Question
-
Good morning,
I have setup distribution groups for each section for a company which receives email from external addresses and redirects them to the correct users internally.
Currently it displays to the email address as the distribution list name for every email received. Is there a way to display the address it was sent to rather than the overall distribution group name?
Thank you.Thursday, June 19, 2014 8:38 AM

No, this is the default behavior of Exchange DL.

This is how it works and it should work.
When you have the DL name in the To address, recipients know that it was sent to the group and that his/her colleagues have received it as well.
If the To address is replaced by individual addresses, there is no way for the recipient to figure out that it was sent to the whole group.
