Protected and Unprotected Distribution Point: Eight hours RRS feed

  • Is it possibel to modify interval from client switch to unprotected distribution point to download packages?? By default, I think is 8 hours

  • from client end we can not change or mange it. If the option is enabled " Allow Clients to Fall back to Unprotected DP's " It will point to unprotected DP's Yes..The retry on the client will be done for 8 hours before moving to the next DP (if there is any), wait for one hour, retry through all the DPs in the list, and will eventually time out in 28 days if no retry has succeeded.

    There is no setting for it in the Product, it would be if you could find it in WMI and script it. But I haven't seen it anywhere.

  • What you want to do reconfigure? 

    Address? I don't think any configuration is in distribution point? 

    It's all over depend on client's policy refreshment? how soon client is refreshing the policy and downloading the policy  then client will get the package from distribution polint
