Monitoring of Terminal Gateway Sessions RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I need to get statistics of the Terminal Gateway Sessions. I installed the MPs for Terminal Server 2008 and the Libary.
When I go to the monitoring page in SCE and there to "Perfomane" and "Terminal Server Gateway Sessions Statistics" it tells me, that there is no perfomance indicator selected. I should select one in the page below. But there is nothing I could select.

How can I select indicators to monitor my TSG-Sessions.

    Besr regards

  • Hello hkillerm,

In the Terminal Services Management Pack, most of the rules that collect performance data are disabled by default. To collect performance data, you can use overrides to turn on the performance-measuring rules that you want.

    To collect performance data

    1.   In the Operations Console, on the Go menu, click Authoring.

    2.   In the navigation pane, expand Management Pack Objects, and then click Rules.

Note: To show rules for the Terminal Services Management Pack only, on the toolbar, click Scope, and then under Target, select the check boxes for the Terminal Services components—for example, Terminal Server 2003 Computer Role.

    3.   Under Rules, right-click the performance-measuring rule that you want, point to Overrides, point to Override the Rule, and then click For all objects of type: <type of object>.

    4.   Under Override-controlled parameters, in the Override column, select the check box beside Enabled.

    5.   In the Override Setting column, in the drop-down menu, click True, and then click OK.

For more information, please refer to the Terminal Services Management Pack Guide for Operations Manager 2007, which is installed as a part of this download for full instructions:
