Userdefined Enterprise fields always null RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I´ve defined 3 user enterpise fields. Two on Project level and on on task level. In Project 2010 all fields show the correct values. But on Project Server the fields are not shown and on the reporting-db there values are alwas null.

    Whats going wrong.

    thanks

  • Hi there,

So from Project 2010, do you save and publish the project to Project Server? Is the publish and reporting jobs successful in the Project Server queue? Have you added these new fields in the Project Server PWA views? To do this open PWA and navigate to Server Settings > Manage Views, edit the view where you want to see the new fields and add the fields in and save.

    Thanks

    Paul

  • Hi Michael,

To check the queue jobs - open PWA and navigate to Server Settings > Manage Queue Jobs. Might be worth adding in the Success Job Completion State to check for the successful jobs.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

I figured out, that the fields are updated if a add a new Project. But if I change these values on exsisting projects there is no update. I think I´ve to trigge these updates. But I don´t know how and which job does the work?

  • Hi there,

Just opening the existing project, set the values /  press F9 to recalculate the project if the new fields are calculated, the save and publish the project will push the values through.

    Thanks
