Custom fields not showing up on the OLAP configuration in PWA and other problems!! RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,
I have mapped the custom filed called "state" from project server to TFS using all the commands and got successful mapping. I can see these fields in my MPP when I open that up. Now I want to build a cube that has state in it. I create a cube and go to configuration, and when i select the task dimension, i do not see the mapped fields. As a matter of fact, i see no custom fields other than the default ones. (health, flag and project).

I know custom fields (entity text) without a look up table and with any rollup or free form cnnot be mapped. But mine is neither!!! Could any one tell me why this is happening??

My second problem is, the state field that has been mapped to TFS to a particular collection has many projects in the collection. In project server, i have only 2 projects that are mapped to TFS (in the same collection). When i run reports from SQL, i see that the state field is populated to one of the projects and not for the other!!! Why is this!! I am running reports form SQL for the view [MSP_EpmTask_UserView] since i am unable to add the state fields directly from the OLAP configuration in PWA! Any help greatly appreciated!!!
