Win7 audio RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an Acer Extensa 5630G notebook with Realtek HD soundcard.
On xp this card is capable of the 5.1, but on win7 only stereo.
What can I do to let all 6 speakers hear.
    Thank you for the answer...

  • Hi,

Try to download the most recent HD audio driver from Realtek's site. And please consider that this is a hungarian forum, next time use the english technet forum. Thank you, Gergő

  • I have downloaded both drivers: from acer and from realtek but always the same... only stereo. I have installed the vista x64 and the xp x64 drivers too but nothing changed. Somebody can say why?

  • Maybe 5.1 is not set by default. Have you checked your settings? Try to set 5.1 by right clicking on the speaker icon on the notification area, select "Playback devices" and after selecting the right sound device click on Configure.
