"A file error has occurred" when saving signature in Outlook 2013 RRS feed

  • When the user tries to create a signature in Outlook 2013 It pops up with "A file error has occurred" and path of the signature.htm

    The only resolution I've come across for this error was to grant FC permissions to the signature folders but the user has FC permission. I even granted FC permissions to the signature folder for all domain users.

    Has anyone else dealt with this? User is using Windows 10.

    Other troubleshooting tried: 

    -delete and re-add email account

    -recreate user profile

    -ran outlook in safemode

    -repair and reinstall office 2013

    -reboot

    Does the error occur to the particular user?
    Is the user able to create files in the signature folder (%AppData%\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures)?

    Please check for and install all the available updates for both Windows 10 and Office 2013 to see if there will be any improvement. 

    If the issue persists, please try to perform a clean boot in Windows, then have a try and see if issue persists. This helps eliminate whether the issue was caused by any software conflicts.
