Change button text on SharePoint list form from 'save' to 'submit' RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi is there a relatively easy way to change the button text on an out of the box SharePoint list form on a modern communications site from 'save' to 'submit'?

  • Hi kegan1,

yes, it is possible but you need to put more effort to bring the submit button on edit form using powerapps

first created required column and align it, then open edit form and click customize using Power Apps -> once the form opened in Power Apps you can insert new button and write a functionality to save it.

the below picture shows you the customized edit form with submit button.

  • Hi kegan1,

As Thivagar SEGAR said, you could insert new button and set the OnSelect property of the "Submit" button to following:

    SubmitForm(SharePointForm1)

    More information:

    Save Cancel Edit button
