    Operating System

    Intel Core i5 4570S @ 2.90GHz

    RAM

    Storage
465GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AAKX-75U6AA0 (SATA)

When I start up my PC and open task manager around 40% of Physical Memory is in use and the longer the PC runs, the higher it gets and does not go down again.

There is SO much standby memory and I have no idea why it doesnt dump memory and just becomes unusable.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

  • Hi Peter.

Which are the processe(s) taking the biggest portions of memory? Are there many instances of the svchost.exe process?
Could you consider adding 4 GBs of RAM?

    Bye.

  • You should definitely get more memory. 4 GB is really outdated for today's software programs.
