Starting VM get an error Failed to restore with Error 'There is a time and/or date difference between the client and server.'

    Question

  • I do not believe we changed anything on the main server that has virtual machines. It used to work. Now when I start the virtual server the status says Restoring(99%) and then it shows multiple errors all saying "Failed to restore with Error 'There is a time and/or date difference between the client and server.'"

These errors are from Microsoft Emulated IDE Controller and other files.

    Thanks

  • It had to do with the DVD mapped as a directory from a different server. Removed that dependency in settings and it worked.
