reset index to default RRS feed

  • Question

  • hum guys, seems like the button meant for it has disappeared. I think it was still there in the beta. So how do you manage to reset the index to default locations, just the way it is after a new install ? thanks.

  • By default, all of the most common files on your computer are indexed. Indexed locations include all folders included in libraries (anything you see in the Documents library, for example), e‑mail, and offline files. Files that aren't indexed include program files and system files—files that most people rarely need to search.

  • rebuilding doesn't set the index back to default, it just rebuilds what was previously indexed.

  • Sure :) but still no button to reset everything in one click to default like in Vista or Seven beta...
