Is it possible to restore a deleted Workflow? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All

Today I accidently deleted an incorrect Workflow using SharePoint 2013 Designer. The workflow is located on a SharePoint Online site (Office 365).

What I wanted to know, is it possible to restore a workflow deleted using SharePoint Designer 2013? Maybe there is a PowerShell command I can use.

    I hope you can help.
    Colin

  • If it's a SharePoint 2010 workflow, you'll find it in the recycle bin of the site, if it's 2013 mode workflow, it will be managed by the workflow manager which you don't have access to.

  • No, it depends on the type of workflow you used when you created the workflow, even if it's O365. Can you try to open the recycle bin for your site, and verify if the workflow is there or not?

  • It's on my SharePoint Online site (Office 365, SP 2013).

Does this mean I can not restore it at all?

  • It's not in the recycle bin.

Lucky I had notes on how I created it, so I've recreated it and it's working ok. I hope Microsoft does something about this in the next addition of SharePoint.

    Thanks for your help
