MS Word Shutting down RRS feed

    Hi,

    Since yesterday 5/2/16 MS Word keeps shutting down.  As soon as I try clicking on File it shuts down.  I've gone through the running in save mode option, does the same.  I uninstalled and installed - same issue.

    Please help.

    Please start a clean boot to determine whether background programs are interfering with Word:

    Check if there is anything in the Event Viewer.

    For the past week I have been trying to open Microsoft Word 2016 and it has been showing me a message the second I tap on "open a blank page" that say's: "Microsoft Word has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.". Then, I have to press on the button that appears in the message "Close program" and then it closes immediately and no notification has been sent to me ever since and word is closed. I tried to delete the program from the control panel and reinstall in but the same thing happened, also I tried to refresh it in the control panel and didn't work, the programme is up to date and the Lap-Top is only 5 weeks old and all that has been added are OfficeHome/Student 2016 and McAfee Live Safe.  I look forward to hearing from you. Steve.  I have just completed a clean boot to no avail, also started word in safe mode and it shut down the minute you click new blank page.
