Connecting media through the S-VIDEO input and view it on the monitor RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a DVD with a S_VIDEO output, I tried to connect it to my computer (HP PAvilion, Vista 64, Nvidia 8600GT) and see the output using Media Center.
There is no way Media Center will allow input S-Video other than Sattelite.
I tried to cheat Media Center and tell it it is a sattelite, but then ittells me no IR cable is found ->FAIL.

In the little preview window I get during the setting of the Media Center I do see my movie in good quality, just can get over the Media Center Inability to handle s-video input other than sattelite.

  • Media Center doesn't have the functionality (aux-in) that you're looking for.
One reason:  a Media Center is expected to have a DVD player already installed.  ;)
