Workflow suddenly stopped working

  • All workflows stopped working yesterday.  I restarted Timer Services, and make sure SharePoint web service root is started, but the Workflow job simply not running. We also checked database which is fine

    Under "Running Jobs" the workflow job is shown running, but greyed out and progress % is 0.  When click the job and click "Run Now", it just not start at all.

    What other place we need to check?  This is an urgent issue for us.

    Really appreciate and tips/advices!

  • yes we did that procedure, but did not fix the issue.

    It actually turned out to be the database stores thew workflow (nintex workflow) has grown so huge, the server cannot respond before time out.

    Nintex support provide a procedure to cleanup the nintex workflow history list and reduce the db that stores the data
