MBAM - Based on what does it choose to encrypt or not ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dears,

We are using MBAM 2.5 SP1 with GPOs and it's working perfectly since ... :)

We have few Fujitsu laptops (150) that are not encrypting the second hard-drive (CD/HDD Bay) anymore since we have upgraded them to Windows 10 (1709).

Second hard drive is detected as external.

If I check the WMI info:

    Win32_LogicalDrive returns the correct value

    DeviceID     : D:
    DriveType    : 3
    ProviderName :
    FreeSpace    : 498419408896
    Size         : 499972567040
    VolumeName   :

    In the meantime, Win32_DiskDrive returns:

    Manufacturer                : (Standard disk drives)
    MediaLoaded                 : True
MediaType                   : Fixed hard disk media

    What is correct too !!

Gpos  works for others laptops (lenovos, HPs with W10)

I try to launch the mbamcontrolui.exe on the computer to "force" MBAM client to act .. but nothing

This is the only error I have in Event Viewer:

An error occurred while applying MBAM policies.
    Volume ID:\\?\Volume{703f3fcd-81be-4d77-8521-07f8091081dc}\
    Error code:

The operation did not complete within the time allotted.

    Source: MBAM EventID:2 Task: VolumeEnactmentFailed

    Please, some advice !!!

    Thnaks you so much !!
