Wireless Card not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Okay so I'm about to pull my hair out....I have Windows Vista on my Toshiba and I've been on the phone all day trying to figure out why all of a sudden there are on wireless networks available on my computer.  Click on the computer icon on bottom right and shows nothing available.   Clicking on diagnose why windows cannot connect to any other networks in that same screen says "install wireless networking hardware, and verify that the correct drivers are loaded." Called Belkin to find out and they said that it was that the wireless card was not being detected.  Please help!

  • Check the Device Manager for any disabled devices (they will appear with a red "X" in their icon) or any devices that cause problems (the will have a yellow exclamation mark in their icon).
Check if your laptop has any switch that enables wireless radio. Wireless radio can also be enabled or disabled by using Fn + function key combination (like Fn + F5 or Fn + F3).
