  • Hi Nick,

    go to the this site:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/967102

Click on the link View and request hotfix downloads , select the platform (x86 or x64) and type in your email twice and type in the captcha ad click request hotfix.

After 1 minute you have an email with the link to download an exe. Use the password which is included inside the email to extract the update.

Install the update and reboot, now the issue is fixed.

  • I have the similar problem, however I have downloaded the hotfix, saved it to my computer then extracted it, then I went to install it, it says: The update does not apply to your system.   What now?  I am tired of my computer crashing every time it goes to resume from sleep/standby.

I have a 32 bit operating system.  On the view and request hotfix page it says only x86, x64 & ia64 and the release is sp3.  I am totally confused now. Please help

  • If you have a 32Bit Windows, select x86.

  • I am getting this same error on Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit.  How do I get a download link for a hotfix for it?

    Thanks!
