IIS website en apppool gone after restore RRS feed

  • Question

  • I did an restore from an contentdatabase in backup exec. Now the data is OK again but the website doesn't start.

In central administration (MOSS2007) the web-application exists but in IIS there is no traces of an "Sharepoint - 80" apppool or website.

If I want to create or extend a new webapp with sharepoint port 80 it errors that the path already exists.

  • I don't remember the service by heart because 2007 has been a while for me now, but I believe it is Windows SharePoint Services Web Application on the services on server tab that needs to be (re)-started to install the web applications on IIS.

Can you check if this is enabled?
